OPENING SCRIPTURE: One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the KINGDOM OF GOD come?” Jesus replied, “The KINGDOM OF GOD can’t be detected by visible signs. ²¹ You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the KINGDOM OF GOD is already among you.” (Luke 17:20-21)

How do I access this Kingdom Of God? John 3: 1-7

There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. ² After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” ³ Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” ⁴ “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” ⁵ Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. ⁶ Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. ⁷ So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’

• Jesus made it absolutely clear here: Access to The Kingdom of God- Himself- requires one thing: YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN
• It starts with this: “If you confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be SAVED.” (Romans 10:9)
• Saved from what: You are saved from ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD. We call this hell.

1. NEW BIRTH- NEW CITIZENSHIP

“We are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives” (Philippians 3:20)

• In order to understand our citizenship, we have to switch off our democratic mind set. Why? The Kingdom of God is a monarchy not a democracy. Whatever the King says goes.
• And when you step out to do what He has asked you do- You step out with His authority!
• You are now an ambassador for The King Himself!

2. NEW BIRTH – NEW SIGHT

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” (v3)

• NEW BIRTH BRINGS SIGHT TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. In other words, this new birth will allow us to SEE JESUS (The Word of God, The Word made flesh) from the only perspective that matters: ETERNAL LIFE
• Nicodemus who had the title of “Teacher of Israel”. He was a qualified teacher who knew the word of God but He did not recognize the author standing right in front of him.
• When you are born again, and when you open up the Bible and read His Word, the Holy Spirit Himself will become your teacher.
• YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO FLY BLIND THROUGH LIFE WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS GIVEN YOU SIGHT!

3. NEW BIRTH- NEW ACCESS

Jesus replied, “I assure you, NO ONE CAN ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD without being born of water and the Spirit. (v5)

• Here Jesus brings a new level of access to Himself – His Kingdom
• In fact Jesus made the access to His Kingdom available to EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son (ACCESS), so that EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM will not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE. God sent his Son into the world not to judge (CONDEMN) the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17)

• It’s not just a one-time access- not a temporary access- It’s an Eternal Access
• ETERNAL ACCESS WITHOUT JUDGMENT AND CONDEMNATION
