Let’s Reach – Part 4 (08/25/2019)

Opening Scripture: Isaiah 54:2-3

Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense!  For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.

Comment: This scripture is not talking exclusively about real estate. Reaching Beyond your natural abilities. Reaching beyond your limits. Reaching beyond your comfort.

Reaching beyond gives birth to something call: VISION.

Today I want to talk to you on the subject of: REACHING BEYOND…FOR VISION

  • Vision is never birthed out of comfort, vision is birthed out of pain
  • Vision is birth is birthed when you reach beyond what you can see.
  • Isaiah 54, he was speaking about enlarging our house during a time of famine. Which does not make sense but he was speaking what God sees!
  • Best definition for vision is: YOU SPEAKING WHAT GOD IS SAYING ABOUT YOU!

REACHING BEYOND FOR VISION requires us to do a few things:

  1. CLEAR THE CLUTTER
  • I believe the greatest enemy of vision isn’t the devil but the clutter that we have allowed in
  • Clutter is anything that gets in the way of the God and you
  • Continual process of capturing those thoughts or triggers of the past. “Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Cor 10:5)
  1. RISE AGAIN

Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light (Micah 7:8)

  • Falling is part of the journey but it’s the rising up that matters
  • Rising above the failures, Rising above the pain
  • SOMETIMES IT IS IN THE DARKEST HOUR, THAT VISION IS BIRTHED
  1. STAND GUARD
  • You see we all know Habakkuk 2:3 write the vision down
  • VISION IS SOMETHING THAT YOU STEWARD. YOUR STEWARDSHIP WILL BE TESTED!
  • The test is would you remain faithful? The test was found in Habakkuk 2:1

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says (Habakkuk 2:1)

  • Your watchtower is Jesus and Your Guardpost is the place where God has called you to be planted. From that place and that position, you can see the vision that God is giving you.

CONCLUSION

  • What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through this message?
