OPENING STATEMENT:

• “It’s all part of the plan” – His plan brings peace and comfort.
• “It’s all part of the plan” – His plan bring reassurance: He has the ability to create something out of nothing and has a plan.

“I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free” – Michelangelo

• When Michelangelo was asked how carved all his sculptures, he answered: “they were already there. I just sculpted away everything that was not there until its true form was revealed”
• In life, sometimes, we tend to focus more on everything that is not there, instead of focusing on things that are already there- like the plan God for our lives.
• When we carve away everything that is not there, God’s true plan is revealed.

OPENING SCRIPTURE

For we are God’s HANDIWORK, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)
• You are not an accident. You are not an afterthought. You are part of the plan- God’s plan.

#1: “WE ARE GOD’S HANDIWORK”

• The Greek word for “handiwork” is “Poiema” from which we get the word “poem”
• It implies something beautiful and purposeful that God has personally designed.

“Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8 NIV)

• Recognize that God created us.
• He is the potter and we are the clay

When God sees you, He sees you as His final product, He sees you with through the blood of His Son.

“I praise you because I am FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14 NIV)
• When you speak, you turn the written word, logos into rhema, the breath of life.
• Speak life over yourself. Stop measuring your worth by likes, followers, or past mistakes. You are His masterpiece, crafted with care and purpose.

#2: CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS

• Our new identity is based on our relationship with Jesus.

“Yet to all who did RECEIVE HIM… he gave THE RIGHT to become CHILDREN OF GOD…” (John 1:12–13 NIV)

• We the right to be called a child of God.

Therefore, if anyone is IN CHRIST, the NEW CREATION has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)

• In Christ, a new creation, has to be revealed or chiseled out.
• God uses the hammer of His word and the chisel of His Spirit to remove every part that does not belong there until Christ is revealed.

#3: TO DO GOOD WORKS

• God did not just save us from sin, He also saved us for purpose.
• God is working through you.
• God gives us opportunities to do good works: showing love, kindness, mercy, forgiveness.

“Let YOUR LIGHT shine before others, that they may SEE YOUR GOOD DEEDS and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 NIV)

• Good works are not to earn salvation, but to express it.

#4: WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO

• Your purpose isn’t random. It was pre-planned.
• Long before we were even born, He had things in mind for us to accomplish.

“BEFORE I FORMED you in the womb I KNEW YOU, before you were born I SET YOU APART…” (Jeremiah 1:5 NIV)

• Intentionality: There is intentionality in everything that God does.
• You are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ no to sit on the sidelines, but to do good works. That’s God’s plan!

CONCLUSION

What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through this message?
