From a Biblical definition, expectation is based on the word of God. Not on your emotions, not on traditions, but on the unchangeable word of God.

OPENING SCRIPTURE:

TASTE and SEE that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8 NLT)

Our expectation is based who God is. The word says HE IS GOOD!
This expectation is based on the fact our God is faithful! Faithful to His promises.

TRUST IN THE LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and FEED ON HIS FAITHFULNESS. (Psalm 37:3 NKJ)

• “Dwell in the land” – Stay planted where God has called you.
• Feed on His faithfulness.

The more you feed on His faithfulness, the more faithful you will be

• Faithfulness means: True to one’s work, true to one’s value.
• Faithfulness means: Steady, constant, original, accurate.

#1 HIS FAITHFULNESS IS EVERLATING

For his UNFAILING LOVE for us is powerful; the Lord’s FAITHFULNESS ENDURES FOREVER. (Psalm 117:2 NLT)

• His faithfulness is everlasting. It endures forever.
• His faithfulness is based on His unconditional love for us. His unfailing love is powerful.

For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and HIS FAITHFULNESS CONTINUES TO EACH GENERATION. (Psalm 100:5 NLT)

• His Faithfulness is everlasting indicates that His faithfulness is passed on from generation to generation.

#2 HIS FAITHFULNESS IS UNWAVERING

This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS. (Lamentations 3:21-23 NKJ)

• Prophet Jeremiah here was recalling the unwavering faithfulness of God. God’s unwavering faithfulness brings hope.

God’s Faithfulness is unwavering even when we are faithless

“If we are FAITHLESS, He remains FAITHFUL” (2 Timothy 2:13 NKJ)
• His faithfulness is not dependent on us.

#3 HIS FAITHFULNESS IS GUARANTEED

“Forever, O Lord, YOUR WORD IS SETTLED in heaven. YOUR FAITHFULNESS ENDURES TO ALL GENERATIONS. (Psalm 119: 89 NKJ)

• Settled: the case is settled, the case is finished.
• Endures: Means it is guaranteed to last forever.

God Himself is bound by the promise He made to us that His faithfulness is guaranteed! The guarantee will never change…just like He never changes.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 NLT)

As we navigate through the remaining of 2025 let us remember this:

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL. (Hebrews 10:23 NKJ)
