Opening Scripture: And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “LET US RISE UP AND BUILD.” Then they set their hands to this good work.(Nehemiah 2:18)

  • Nehemiah’s vision : Rebuild the city of Jerusalem. He acted: “Rise Up and Build!”
  • A vision is not simply something that is written down somewhere. It’s something alive and must be fed. It needs to be built!
  • God is interested about building lives: Rise Up and Build!

  • On that foundation, you receive: His favor, His Hope, His blessings, His purpose
  • God’s desire is that we yield to His plan. He has given us freedom to chose.
  • His plan is perfect but our choices are not
  • This building process requires: submission to this foundation- Jesus

GOD’S NAME- EXTERIOR WALLS

THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG FORTRESS; the godly run to him and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10)

  • The name of Jesus will provide the strength and safety of those walls
  • Godly counsel will assist in building strong walls. Safety in Godly (Prov 11:14)

GOD’S ANOINTING- THE ROOF

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide UNDER THE SHADOW (ANOINTING) OF THE ALMIGHTY. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” (Psalm 91:1-2)

  • God’s anointing provide that covering roof over your life
  • Without His anointing, His covering you can be exposed to the elements.

Now that the house is built: FOUNDATION, WALLS, ROOF. Why have a house and not move in?

  • You start discovering gifts and talents that were placed in there by God Himself
  • You start to see yourself not just as a house but a home- A Masterpiece

A MASTERPIECE

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10)
