OPENING STATEMENT: The expectancy to hear His whisper, His voice is based on only one thing: RELATIONSHIP. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US AND GOD!

READ – John 10:1-5 (NASB)

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. ² But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. ³ To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. ⁴ When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. ⁵ A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.”

• THE ONLY REASON THEY COME TO THE SHEPHERD IS THAT THEY RECOGNIZE THE VOICE OF THE SHEPHERD!
• The same is true for us – Because of our relationship with Him, we recognize His voice!

v27, Jesus speaking: MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, AND I KNOW THEM, AND THEY FOLLOW ME

YOU ARE PART OF GOD’S FAMILY

“ Therefore you are NO LONGER OUTSIDERS (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); AND YOU BELONG TO GOD’S [OWN] HOUSEHOLD (FAMILY)” (Ephesians 2:19 AMP)

YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE FAMILY HOOK UP

And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. ¹⁴ The Spirit is God’s guarantee (contract) that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people (His own family). (Ephesians 1:13-14)

• Once you placed your faith in Jesus, Ephesians 1:13-14 says that Holy Spirit makes his residence inside of you. HOLY SPIRIT BECOMES HOOK-UP, YOUR WIFI
• The Holy Spirit is key to the relationship, the communication. Without the Holy Spirit, you can still be part of the family, but you have no access to all the perks of texts, emails, info.
