TRUST in the LORD, and DO GOOD; DWELL in the land, and FEED (GRAZE) on HIS FAITHFULNESS. (Psalm 37:3)
What is the meaning of Faithfulness?
- Faithfulness means “Worthy of Faith”
- Faithfulness means “I will keep my word”, “I will not fail you”
Statement: When we graze of God’s faithfulness, not only do we become more faithful, but we develop a relentless hunger for God.
- The Purpose of Grazing on His Faithfulness is to develop a stronger appetite for Him. A HUNGER FOR GOD.
- A hunger to know Him more. To be with Him. To be filled with His Spirit.
How can we stir up that kind of Hunger?
PRAY FOR IT
“I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE. HE WHO COMES TO ME SHALL NEVER HUNGER, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. (John 6:35)
- It is a prayer God loves to answer: “Lord I want more of You!”
RECALL IT
“But I have this complaint against you. YOU DON’T LOVE ME (GOD) or each other AS YOU DID AT FIRST! (Revelation 2:4)
- Remember the first time you fell in love with God.
- Recall that very first taste of God’s faithfulness
TASTE IT
TASTE and SEE that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8)
- Taste it and once you do, you will want to share it
- Spiritual hunger is contagious. Get around hungry people
