Opening Scripture:

Where there is NO VISION [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained (PERISH OR ARE DESTROYED). (Proverbs 29:18 AMP)

Introduction: What is vision?

• Vision is the ability to believe, act on something we cannot see, and to trust God as we navigate through the impossibilities” (Shannon Panthin)
• Vision takes you from where you are to the place where God has called you.

Oceans Vision Statement

Our vision is to share God’s borderless, and unconditional love to all people with the hope of seeing their lives SAVED, TRANSFORMED, HEALED, EMPOWERED, and SERVING in the areas God has called them!

What does the Word of God say about vision: (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

“Write MY answer (VISION) plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a FUTURE TIME. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, WAIT PATIENTLY for IT WILL SURELY TAKE PLACE. It will not be delayed.

WRITE IT DOWN (Habakkuk 2:2)

• God owns the Vision and we are the steward of it

STAND IN YOUR POST (Habakkuk 2:1)

“I will climb up to MY WATCHTOWER and stand at MY GUARDPOST. THERE I will wait to see what the Lord says and how He (GOD) will answer my complaint (problem).”

• Stay in your post not somebody else’s- Don’t compare!

WAIT FOR IT (Habakkuk 2:3)

This vision is for a FUTURE TIME. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, WAIT PATIENTLY for IT WILL SURELY TAKE PLACE. It will not be delayed

•  God’s vision cannot be rushed but will manifest itself in God’s timing

Question: Why the Wait ? What do we do while waiting?

• Waiting means to expect, to look for, to have hope in God
• Waiting means to be faithful and a good steward to the vision.
