What’s In Your Hand – Part 2 (10/31/2021)

October 31, 2021

God will always use what’s in your hand to bring forth the miraculous.

  • What is in your hands simply means: within your reach, within your grasp, within your surroundings, within your sphere of influence.
  • What’s in our hands could be your time, your talents, your education, your resources, your finances, your very life.

Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you.’ ”So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.”And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. (Exodus 4: 1-3 NKJ)

  • The bottom line is that a transfer must happen from our hands into the hands of God if we want to see miraculous in our life.

34 And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was MOVED WITH COMPASSION for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.

  • Why was Jesus moved with compassion? A transfer took place. “Father let not my will but yours be done”
  • Compassion is birthed when we MOVE. When we transfer what’s in our hands into the hands of God.
  • Jesus was moved with compassion. Since we are His hands and feet, we also should be moved with compassion.

35 When the day was now far spent His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. 36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.”

  • God will always set the stage for your breakthrough – His time, His place, His way.

“YOU GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO EAT.”

  • Jesus was saying: What’s in your hand? What’s within your reach?

And they said to Him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”

If God wants you to do something, He has already factored in what your natural abilities, your available resources. He wants you to see beyond them.

But Jesus said to them “How many loaves do you have?” Go and see! And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.”

  • When God is asking you what’s in your hand, He is not asking because he does not know.

39 Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. 41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, BLESSED and broke the loaves, AND GAVE THEM TO HIS DISCIPLES to set before them; ….. 42 So they all ate and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments.

#1st transfer: From disciple’s hands to the hands of Jesus.

#2nd Transfer: From the hands of Jesus back into the hands of the disciples.

“He looked up to heaven, BLESSED and broke the loaves, AND GAVE THEM TO HIS DISCIPLES

  • He blessed it and then He gave it back to the disciples.
  • The multiplication happened in the disciples’ hands!
