OPENING SCRIPTURE:

Then HE (JESUS) who sat on the throne said, “BEHOLD, I (JESUS) MAKE ALL THINGS NEW.” (Revelation 21:5NKJ)
• Throne: Seat of Royalty- only fit for a king, a ruler. Represents power and authority.
• Behold: “Make sure to see”

Only God has the authority and power to make all things new.

The story of the lost son

“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” (Luke 15:17-19 NKJ)

He had no expectation that The Father would want him back

But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ (Luke 15:20-21 NKJ)

That day, The Father did something that the son was not expecting.

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. (Luke 15:22 NKJ)

That day, The Father was back on Throne of His Life.

Then HE (JESUS) who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I (JESUS) MAKE ALL THINGS NEW.” (Revelation 21:5NKJ)
• That day the son experienced new life.

Promise when He sits on the throne of your life:

“Therefore, if anyone is IN CHRIST, he is a NEW CREATION; OLD things have passed away; behold, ALL THINGS have become NEW” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJ)
• Old making way for the new: You now have access to newer and better things
• Old making way for the new: You operate under greater authority
